Was working in the toys department again with one of my co-workers.
To our horror some insolent mother decided to change her baby in one of the toy asiles and leave the soiled nappy on the floor.
We debated who was going to have to clean it up.
We decided to use the force. In one hand my co-worker used a toy sword and in the other a light-saber. He managed to use the force and move the nappy into the bin.
Later on there was a group of annoying children being destructive in the toy asiles. To our amusement they were hitting eachother with the same sword and lightsaber.
My coworker: “Yes, take that shit to the face.”
Yes, indeed.
I got a phone call today from a customer. This phone call touched my heart.
This woman was ringing on behalf of her daughter.
In our toys department we have recordable storybooks where you can record yourself reading the story and whenever you turn the page, your recording will play.
This woman’s daughter was dying from cancer and wanted to record herself reading these books for her children. 2 girls and 1 boy.
One of the books was called ‘All the Ways I Love You’.
I found out the woman didn’t have very long.
I put those books on hold for them to pick up tomorrow in store.
I thank you dear customer for making me realize life is precious and that even working in retail, you can make a difference in someones life. I hope those children cherish those storybooks.
